Man, if it ain’t the heat, it’s the humidity … and we’ve got both here in the Boston area. Yikes!
Don’t worry, we still have music to chill to and clubs with airconditioning to rock out at. On Thursday Bill Janovitz of Buffalo Tom is celebrating the release of his album Walt Whitman Mall at the Lizard Lounge with guest Mike Gent of The Figgs. I hear there are still tix but they are going fast. Also on Thursday The Oh Hellos are at Cafe 939. Friday night has a night of twang at the Lizard Lounge with Dave Aaronoff and the Protagonists, Highway Ghosts:

Saturday is a big day for local music and a lot of it is FREE. Happening in Davis Square is ArtBeat with Muck + the Mires, Grownup Noise and more. Happening on the Boston Common is the Outside the Box Festival with local faves Buffalo Tom, The Lemonheads, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
Both ArtBeat and Outside The Box are free shows, so enjoy! Saturday has a night of ska and skanking with Bim Skala Bim, Pressure Cooker, and John DeCarlo + Company at the Middle East Downstairs. Sunday afternoon has the Roy Sludge Trio residency at Radio and later Future Bible Heroes are at the Sinclair. On Monday there’s Night of the Living Deadhead with Night Fruits and She Bears and at Radio there’s Americana Night. Tuesday has Byrne’s Big Suit, a Talking Heads tribute at Church, and at TT’s there’s Earthquake Party and Slow Dim. Wednesday night brings up Big Country with Mike Peters of The Alarm singing lead at Johnny D’s and Indians perform at Great Scott:
